Before you publish this: the same spots as the Privacy Policy need filling in, your name or business name, and the age/parental-consent policy, since a study tool is realistically going to have users under 18. Sweden's GDPR floor for a young person consenting to a service like this on their own is 13, but you can set Vaely's own minimum account age higher if you'd prefer, decide and state it below. This document is written around Sweden and EU law rather than another country's, since that's where Vaely operates from. As before, this isn't legal advice, and it should be reviewed by someone with actual legal training before you rely on it, especially the governing law section further down.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Vaely.io and its study tools, Test Maker, Flashcards, Notes Cleaner, Study Planner, Math Solver, and Grader (together, the "Services"), operated from Sweden by [your name or business name] ("Vaely," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
You must be at least [minimum age] years old to create an account. [If you allow younger users with parental consent, describe that process here.] By creating an account, you're confirming that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this age requirement.
Vaely is built to help you study, turning your own notes and materials into practice tests, flashcards, cleaned-up summaries, math solutions, writing feedback, and study schedules. Use it for that. Specifically, you agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
You own the notes, documents, and other material you upload or paste into Vaely, and you own the tests, flashcards, summaries, and other things generated from it. We don't claim ownership over your content.
To provide the Services, you give us permission to store your content, and to send it to a third-party AI service provider so it can generate the response you asked for. That's the extent of what we do with it. See our Privacy Policy for more on how your information is handled.
Tests, flashcards, summaries, math solutions, grading feedback, and study plans on Vaely are generated by AI. You'll also see a short notice to this effect directly inside the tools themselves, not just here, since this is a legal requirement under the EU AI Act, not just something we're telling you in a document you may never read: this product is enhanced with AI and may produce incorrect or problematic content, and you shouldn't enter personal data about yourself or anyone else into it.
AI can make mistakes, generate an incorrect answer, misjudge a due date, or word something ambiguously. Treat everything Vaely generates as a study aid to check your own understanding against, not as a guaranteed-correct source. Especially for anything graded or high-stakes, double-check important facts, dates, and answers yourself. Please don't type personal data (about yourself or anyone else) into any of the tools, only your study material.
Vaely offers a free plan with weekly usage credits, along with paid plan tiers. [As of this writing, Vaely does not have a live payment system, plans are switched manually or via redeem codes. Update this section once real billing is in place, including refund policy, billing cycle, and how to cancel.] We may change what each plan includes, or adjust weekly credit limits, with notice where reasonably possible.
The Vaely name, logo, design, and the code and systems that power the Services belong to us. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our branding or underlying technology beyond what's needed to use the Services normally.
We do our best to keep Vaely up and running, but we don't guarantee the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may need to take the site down for maintenance, fix bugs, or make changes, sometimes without much notice.
The Services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose, including exam preparation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vaely and [your name or business name] won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including, for example, a poor grade or exam outcome connected to relying on generated content. [A lawyer should review and likely expand this section, liability limitations that would hold up for consumers under Swedish/EU law look different from a typical US-style clause, this is a bare-minimum starting point, not a complete clause.]
You can delete your account at any time from your settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Either way, see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when your account is deleted.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we'll try to let you know, for example by email or a notice on the site. Continuing to use Vaely after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [A lawyer should confirm the right court venue and phrasing here, but as a starting point: if you're a consumer resident in the EU, mandatory consumer protections in your own country of residence still apply regardless of this clause, and you generally retain the right to bring a claim in your own local courts. Avoid the kind of forced-arbitration/class-action-waiver clause common in US or Canadian terms of service, that style of clause is typically not enforceable against EU consumers and including one anyway can do more harm than good if it's ever challenged.] If you have a complaint, please contact us at the email below first, most things can be sorted out directly without involving a court at all.
